Who we are

FlightSwatter is a brand of ICONS Digital Group BV. We are responsible for what happens to your data.

Signing up for the deals

When you sign up, we keep your email address, the airports and routes you choose, your language and the page you signed up on. You only get deal mails after confirming your sign-up with the button in our confirmation mail. As proof we keep when and from which IP address you confirmed. Without confirmation your address is gone after 30 days. Our legal basis is your consent, which you withdraw with one click at the bottom of every mail. We send through Amazon SES in Frankfurt.

A spot in the Club

If you reserve a founder spot, we note that with your sign-up so we can email you when the Club opens. You pay nothing now and aren’t tied to anything.

What your browser remembers

Your chosen airports, your home town in the airport race and which Club deal you unlocked are kept by your own browser, on your own device. They don’t come to us.

Visitor statistics

We use Google Analytics to see how the site is used, for example which deals are viewed. Every visit is counted, but without cookies and without anything that identifies you, until you say yes. Only then does Google Analytics set cookies. Advertising features and Google Signals are off.

Services your browser calls itself

The fonts come from Google Fonts: your browser fetches them directly from Google, which sees your IP address. If you click the button to check and book a flight, you go to Aviasales, with our partner number in the link. What you do there falls under their privacy statement.

Which companies visit this site

This site runs at ICONS. To see which companies view the site, ICONS uses the IP address of a visit only to recognise the organisation behind a business connection, never a person. Legal basis: the legitimate interest in knowing which companies are interested. See also the ICONS privacy statement (in Dutch).

Who we share data with

Only parties needed to run the site and the mail, such as hosting and Amazon SES, and only on our instructions. We don’t sell data or give it to others for their own purposes.

How long we keep data

We keep your sign-up until you unsubscribe. After that we only remember your address to make sure you get no more mail. If you later become a paying member, we keep what the law requires, such as seven years for our accounts.

Your rights

You may ask what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to its use and receive it in a common format. Email us at info@flightswatter.com; we respond within four weeks. If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or the authority in your own country.

Changes

If we change this statement, the new date appears at the top.
